Woodley Utd Vets went into this game knowing a win was needed to give them a chance of progressing into the Quarterfinals and keeping the cup dream alive, with it being half term the squad was stretched with a number of players playing their first games of the season in Mark Wiggins, Brett Coley & Steve Barratt.
Utd started well without really troubling the keeper but found themselves 1-0 down when the Chinnor winger received the ball back from his own throw-in and his cross evaded everyone and hit the back post and went in.

Woodley came out for the second half like a steam train and created a few half chances but finally got level when John Mailer got the ball in the middle of the park and spotted a great run from Stuart Birckett whose first time shot from the edge of the box beat the keeper.
Minutes later it was 2-1 to Woodley when John Mailer blocked a Dean Morrison shot inside the 6-yard box but swivelled to fire high into the net.
Chinnor then put Woodley under pressure pushing for the equaliser, Utd keeper Rob Wells went off injured after pulling his hamstring.
Utd then broke free with Andy Gleave picking up the ball on the halfway line and played a cross-field pass to Dean Morrison who broke clear and put a low cross into the box where Stuart Birckett was waiting to fire home for 3-1.
With a minute to go Stuart Birckett claimed his hat trick when again Dean Morrison was the provider this time from the left his cross being spilt by the keeper and Birckett fired in off the post.
With Watlington losing to Holyport, 2nd place in the group was confirmed and qualification to the quarters.
With almost a whole team missing this showed how strong the Utd squad.
