With each game the Reserves are improving and this performance included good football being played throughout the pitch and plenty of attacking options available.
From the kick-off where positive and where rewarded with an early lead when Graham High's cross was headed home by Adam King on eight minutes. With the hosts playing three up front and a winger playing high they always looked dangerous on the break and so it proved in the twenty second minute when Greg Taylor's miskick was pounced on and drive past Pete Davies.
This set back did not fluster United with Tim Green heading straight at the keeper from another High cross and King being denied from point blank range by home keeper.
The second half saw man of match Sam Kalro caused plenty of trouble down the left flank, Green work tireless up front with Taylor and Luke Blakebrough solid in defence. Despite the introduction of Jake Brown up front it was not until the eighty first minute that United scored the winner their performance merited. Brown latched onto a mistake and found Blakebrough to drive a low shot from twenty five yards into the bottom right hand corner.
Both teams had shouts for a penalty, Brown had an effort ruled out for offside while Charlie Baines and Green saw efforts cleared of the goal line.
