Despite Harrison Wilkes levelling the scores midway through the first half, once Kintbury had retaken the lead in the first minute of the second half, it was always going to be a uphill struggle for the Reserves as the movement of Kintbury's forwards where a constant problem for the visitors all afternoon and had it not been for the performance of Jon Norris in goal the margin of defeat could have been greater.
United's back forward performed well after the opening twenty minutes but to often Kintbury were able to launch an attack after Woodley had cleared their lines.
The afternoon ended on a further disappointing note when Jamie Smith received a second yellow card in stoppage time.
