Good football and excellent goals cap an entertaining game.

In a cracking game of football with outstanding goals United twice took the lead, levelled with eight minutes to go and then saw AFC Bournemouth score twice to win a ten goal thriller that was end to end football from the first kick off.

Rosie Page-Smith opened the scoring in the second minute when she received a pass from Jodie Penny and fired low inside AFC Bournemouth’s Katie Scadding right post and the forward’s header three minutes later saw Amie Benton’s shot blocked for a corner kick.

The Cherries responded with Faye Ward blocking a shot. The game was level in the eleventh minute when the lively Jade Hockey scored. However, United responded two minutes later and restored the lead through Page-Smith’s close range header from a Maddie Sawyer cross.

A good run by Benton into the penalty area saw the ball cleared to Sawyer who fired home from twenty five yards with twenty one minute played.

The lead was reduced two minutes later when Rosie Eden scored into Nicole Haines left hand post. The game continued to flow from end to end with both keepers being busy and the scores were levelled in the thirty third minute when Hannah Bennett struck from outside the penalty area from a United clearance.

With the visitors starting to exert pressure Clare Stringer cleared from a corner before the Cherries took the lead a minute before the break. Eden received the ball from a throw in to fire pass Haines.

AFC Bournemouth made a goalkeeper change at half time with Kate Guthrie replacing the injured Scadding while United introduced Shelby Preston-Morris for Holly Wilkins.

Eden and Hockey continued to caused United problems but apart from Eden goal, which would have been her hat-trick, being disallowed for off side the home team held firm thanks to a Haines save and Ellen Surtees tackle and with Sawyer and Charlie Evans able to get forward, Guthrie was seeing a lot of the ball.

A foul on Preston-Morris saw captain Surtees level the scores from the twenty five yard free kick eight minutes from time that Guthrie could only parry into her top right hand corner.

The Cherries again responded with Aimee-Rose Collier restoring the lead two minutes later and Katie Kingshott completed the scoring in the eight sixth minute with a tremendous strike from distance.

Haines, Evans, Wilkins (Preston-Morris), Stringer, Surtees, Ward (Cooke), Penny, Sawyer, Page-Smith, Thompson, Benton (Hunt)
