This was a closely fought and and good game to watch which Spitfires deserved a draw from. However, the result was unimportant at the end when it became clear that Leon was concussed - although it was not picked up during the game. It was a painful reminder of the importance to check the well-being of players when there is a knock in the head region. All the thoughts of the players and parents are with Leon who after a night in the RBH, is now at home and recuperating.
On the match itself, Sam H scored a good opener after being put through by Charlies looped through ball but Hearts were 2-1 in front just 5 minutes later following some defensive indecisiveness from the makeshift defence. Alex bought the score level one minute before half time from the penalty spot after a Hearts defender handled the ball.
The second half saw a little more aggression from Hearts and they scored the only goal of the half to take the points. The other notable point is that team picked up their 2nd successive sin bin so were down to 10 points for 10 minutes.
Alex was awarded the man of the match.
