The first team don’t have a game this weekend but are in action in midweek when they visit Chalvey Sports in the Floodlit Cup. United beat Aldermaston in the last round and were unlucky to come away from Chalvey empty handed in the league last month.

The Royals suffered a heavy defeat in their last match and have failed to score in their last two. They host Windlesham United a side they beat in the first week of September. Both teams have played five league games with Woodley on four points and their opponents two points better off.

A 3-0 win last Saturday saw the ‘A’ side pick up their first points of the season and move off the foot off the table. This was a fine result after last year’s promotion beating a Twyford side who had started well. This weekend sees a difficult trip to Datchet Village who have won four from four.

Sunday Teams

United rebounded from a 4-3 defeat with a 2-0 away win against Winkfield on Sunday. They have now won three out of four keeping a clean sheet in each game they have won. Their next match sees a home encounter with Finchampstead Athletic Reserves; who got their first points on the board with a surprise victory against previous leaders Woodley Saints Kites.
