After a heavy league defeat last weekend the first team will look to get back to winning ways in their cup games that take place on Saturday and Monday. First up is a home match against Wallingford Town in the Berks & Berks Senior Trophy; the second game, also at Rivermoor sees them face AFC Aldermaston in the Floodlit Cup. The two teams drew their league match 1-1 on the third of September.

The Royals have started their 19/20 season with a single goal loss and a single goal win. A Dylan Chaffin hat-trick lead Woodley to a 3-2 win at Windlesham last weekend. This Saturday sees their first home game of the new campaign when they take on a Cookham Dean side who have three points from their opening three matches.

The ‘A’ side celebrated promotion last season. They start off their Thames Valley Division Two campaign with a home game Richings Park Reserves. United’s opponents have already played once, going down to a 3-1 loss in their opener.

Sunday Teams

Also playing their first game of the new season are Woodley’s Sunday team. They host Bracknell Athletic who started last weekend conceding six. This is United’s second season at this level after back to back promotions.
