Match Reports 11th February 2017
Berkshire Youth Development League

Woodley United U8 Spitfires v Woodley United U8 Tornadoes

We were playing a friendly with the fellow Spitfires and we had snow, what a great atmosphere to play the game.
The Spitfires began producing great balls and rotated the ball at all times some great goals by the forward player.
The tornadoes fell back to defence for a while before starting to pick up momentum & began to find their positions as the pressure was put on.
Keenan really worked hard up front to keep the ball and began to feel easy after having a few shots at the goal, James really worked hard on the right wing making a positive impact on the whole game for the Tornadoes. The first half just flew by.
The second half was exiting thanks to Ashar who stayed in goal for the whole game with some exceptional saves which helped the Tornadoes stay positive so they can keep focus on the game.
Zack started to put some solid tackles in midfield & really looking at getting the ball forward. Prayrit rooted the ball out well and his defending was phenomenal and really marked the Spitfires forward who had them on their toes all the game.
I think this game really stood out showing a great display by the Spitfires and overall was good to play with their training partners.
Appreciable football by all the boys and lots of energy on a cold day. A cracking game, well done.

Player of the match
Keenan play rate and moving the ball quickly and great shooting.

Effort Award
James for keeping the ball for intervals and a major effort with movement with the ball.
