Woodley enjoy cup successes

Saturday 7th March 2026 was a successful day for the club with five youth teams advancing to cup finals.

In the East Berks Football Alliance (EBFA) league cup our u15 Spitfires (Division Two) pulled off a giant killing act at Division One Caversham Trents Jaguars 3—0.  The Spitfires will meet Godalming Town, who currently sit in second place in Division One in the final to be played on 18th April 2026.

The u13 Hurricanes retuned from Maidenhead Boys & Girls 3-2 winners in the EBFA Plate to set up a final with Westwood Wanderers Whites, who play two divisions lower than United, on 2nd May 2026.

In the Berkshire Youth Football League (BYFL), the u13 Tornadoes made it an age group double beating Centre Skills Gold 4-3 on penalties after both teams shared four goals.  The Tornadoes, who sit bottom of their division meet the league leaders Whiteknights Rangers who have a 100% record, in the final.

The u10 Spitfires overcame Pangbourne Youth Penguins in the BYFL cup, a competition the Spitfires won last season at u9 and meet ABC Premier Penguins.  Finally, the u8 Cyclones advanced past AFC Charvil to face Reeves Rangers in the final of the BYFL Trophy.

The BYFL finals will be held over the weekend of 22nd – 24th May 2026 at Tadley Calleva FC’s Barlow’s Park.

Congratulations to all teams.
