On a hot afternoon, United scored twice in the second half to reach the Reading Invitation Challenge cup final
The match was goalless at the break due much to a number of save by United's keeper Brad Moore, as United struggled to find any rhythm to their play with what few goal scoring opportunities created being half chances from set pieces.
However, a change of formation at half time resulted in the team showing greater tempo in opening stages of the second half with players giving better support to one another. The change paid off in the fifty fourth minute when Dylan Chaffin broke down the right wing and when one on one with the Henley keeper passed to substitute Muneer Fakih to tap into the empty net.
It was Chaffin who also assisted with the second goal passing from the left to the edge of the goal area where another substitute Toby Barker slotted home in the eightieth minute for his first senior goal.
