Woodley still fighting for their lives whilst Town seal promotion in front of biggest crowd of the season

Played in front of 130 people, with both sides fighting at opposite ends of the table, it was the visitors who started on the front foot.

A low cross from the left flashed across United's six yard box before a header from a corner went wide of the left post.

Midway through the half saw Woodley's best spell of the game. Good pressure from winger Teddy Thomas forced a Bracknell defender into giving away a corner. The resultant right wing set piece by Danny Horscroft was headed narrowly over by centre back Mitch Cooper.

This was followed up with Greg Beckett testing Chris Grace in the Town goal from twenty two yards.

The half ended with United keeper Alex Reed keeping the scores level. Joe Grant's through ball split the Woodley defence and found TJ Bohane who was thwarted by Reed as he attempted to go round him.

Max Herbert had the final chance of a half devoid of clear goal scoring opportunities. His shot from the right side of the box was kept out by Reed at his near post.

HT Woodley United 0-0 Bracknell Town

United had a brief spell of pressure at the start of the half before Bracknell took complete control of the game as they looked to cut Thatcham's big goal difference advantage at the top.

Haydon Richardson sliced wide from a tight angle on the right before a flowing move started by a driving run by Horscroft ended with Pele Hagger's cross being too close to Grace who gathered.

Town went ahead on fifty one minutes when Bohane got up well at the back post to head in an Elliott Legg cross.

Ninety seconds later saw Bohane go within inches of a second when his header from a left wing Seb Bowerman cross came back off the inside of the right post.

Another chance for Bracknell courtesy of a Bowerman cross followed; this time to Joe Grant, who had his header kept out by Reed.

Woodley made changes on sixty four and seventy one minutes. Richardson made way for Jake Nicholls whilst Ben Collins replaced Hagger.

With fifteen minutes to go Reed showed bravery to save at the feet of Grant before the same player hit the inside of the right post with a powerful shot on the turn.

United made their final change on eighty minutes when Dave Morgan came on for Abdul Kamara in the middle of the park.

The final few minutes saw Reed once again save a Grant shot before a combination of Joe Barley and the United keeper kept out another Grant effort.

The last touch of the game saw the Bracknell forward finally get on the score sheet when he headed over Reed.
