Woodley faced an away fixture to bottom of the table Didcot Town Reserves and ran out 1 – 0 winners to make it two wins in three days, thanks to a Dan Jewell first half goal on the quarter hour mark.
Woodley dominated the first half for long periods and had much the better chances. Captain Richard Thomas had a header cleared off the line following a corner and he set up Nick Edwards for a good chance on the volley that just missed the target from eight yards.
Sam Cripps was one-on-one but dragged his shot wide and Adam Jeffrey curled a shot wide of the target from a decent position. Woodley did eventually force an opener as Jewell raided forward on a powerful run from full-back and he dug out a shot to beat the keeper at the near post.
Didcot were limited to shots from range and didn't really troubled Craig Beales in goal.
The second half saw Didcot try to retain possession and they did this successfully until the final pass eluded them on many occasions. Beales was not really tested throughout the half and Woodley had efforts on target from Jewell after another burst forward and then substitute Paul Wilder who forced a good save out of the home goal keeper when one-on-one.
Dominic MacKenzie jinked his way into the area but shot wide when well positioned and Woodley had to soak up plenty of the Didcot possession, but the home side were toothless in the final third.
Woodley entertain Chinnor at home looking to keep the winning habit on Saturday.
