Two goals from Josh Drew see United advance to next round of the B&B Intermediate Cup

With Highmoor Stadium being used the game took place in Woodley; however the change in venue didn't effect the team who played some decent football in a commanding 4-1 win against Flackwell Heath reserves.

The game's first chance fell to Sukhi Kang who was making his debut; receiving the ball after a right wing corner the left back forced Scott Johnson in the Flackwell goal into a good reflex stop. It was to be a busy afternoon for the away keeper who moments later stopped a Jake Nicholls free kick diving to his left.

United's Charlie Oakley came closest to getting the game's first goal when he hit the base of the right post after getting on the end of a Josh Drew cross. Flackwell's first chance fell to Alan Akerman who missed to the left from twenty five yards.

Sixteen minutes in Oakley hit the woodwork for a second time. Going round Johnson the Woodley forward composed himself before smashing against the crossbar. Seven minutes later United got the goal that their pressure merited; cutting in from the right Drew fired a left footed shot into the right corner.

More action in the Flackwell area followed. Chris De Franco cleared off the line after an Oakley cross before Drew got his second goal of the game in a flowing Woodley counter attack. Defending a corner United broke at speed; Oakley played in Danny Horscroft whose left wing cross was turned in from six yards.

Nine minutes before the break Flackwell pulled one back when Adam Milligan netted from the left side of the box after Woodley keeper Spencer Meredith could only parry Adam Bradshaw's shot.

The hosts looked to regain their two goal lead, Horscroft teed up Oakley who saw his shot saved by Johnson's legs. At the other end a good run by Fabian Driffill ended with a shot that lacked power saved by Meredith.

Flackwell came close to an equaliser sixty seconds into the second half. A cross from the right just evaded a red shirt at the back post before United's Dave Morgan had a shot blocked.

Woodley made a change on fifty five minutes when Adam Nditi replaced Reddy Thomas.

Josh Drew came close to topping off a superb performance when he saw a chance from the right beaten out, he was then denied his hat trick when his shot deflected into the side netting.

More chances rained down on the Flackwell goal. Nditi missed to the right whilst Danny Greenwood headed over captain Jake Nicholls corner.

Just after the hour United made a second change when Dave Morgan made way for Greg Beckett.

Half way through the second half a superb cross from Kang just evaded the head of Oakley before Nditi made it two goals in two games when he fired into the roof of the net from ten yards.

Woodley made their final change with fifteen minutes left when Charlie Baines replaced Drew.

The visitors had their best spell of the match as the game wound down. Both Baines and Greenwood blocked Flackwell shots whilst Milligan just missed to the left.

Beckett saw a shot saved by Johnson's legs before Nditi missed to the right. Flackwell never gave up Milligan forced Meredith into a good stop.

With the game in added time Nicholls played in Nditi who squared to Oakley who got a deserved goal.
