With the season kicking off three weeks today the first team continued to prepare for the new campaign with a trip to fellow step six side Tadley Calleva.
The home side started with a lot of the ball but could only test Nuno Antunes in the United goal with some soft shots from distance. Woodley's first chance fell to Toby Briggs; his shot from the right side of the box was saved by the Tadley's goalies legs.
Tadley went ahead seven minutes before the break when they headed in a left wing corner. The hosts doubled their lead four minutes later when a shot from twenty five yards found the left corner.
HT Tadley Calleva 2-0 Woodley United
Woodley started the second half with real purpose. A mazy run from Teddy Thomas ended in a Tadley defender getting in a good block before Greg Beckett missed to the right.
On fifty two minutes United made a double change when Briggs and Charlie Hiscox made way for Leo Richardson and Dan Watkiss.
Two minutes after the substitutions Woodley halved Tadley's lead when captain Idris Kamara headed in a Jake Nicholls corner.
United made two more changes with the game in its final quarter; Jamie Smith and Chris Park came on for Abdul Kamara and Teddy Thomas.
With Woodley chasing the game and players tiring due to the heat the home side increased their lead with a shot from the right side of the box and a long range drive from a Tadley centre back.
