Reading YMCA ran riot in this first round B&B Intermediate Cup match scoring six unanswered goals.
Woodley Town were not in the match from the second minute when Jordan Cox popped up in the box to slide the ball past Smith in goal.
Further first half goals followed from Ryan Adams and Matt Drake. Darrell Fairbrother also hit the bar and had a shot from three yards out brilliantly saved by Smith on his goalline.
Woodley only threatened from corners with some penetrating deliveries from Jordan Goddard giving headed chances to James Pheby.
In the second half any resistance from the visitors was quickly dispelled as Adams finished well from an exquisite through pass from Jason Palmer and Fairbrother got on the scoresheet after a mazy run and shot into the top corner.
Adams completed his hat-trick with another well taken goal and Woodley had to see out the last 25 minutes to avoid any further embarrassment. Unfortunately skipper, Mike Alleyne, didn't see it out after being dismissed for a second yellow card offence.
This set the seal on a truly forgettable day for the first team....but with Penn & Tylers at home in the league on Saturday, Louie will have to pick everyone up and get them back on track.
