Jonty grabs Woodley United's first goal of the season

Jonty grabs Woodley United's first goal of the season

Date - 19/09/2015
Opponents – Westwood Wanderers Hoops
Report – Technology-assisted tactics helped Woodley United U7 Spitfires begin this match full of confidence with the whole team attempting to pass their way down the pitch and showing no fear, whilst defending, with everyone attempting to tackle an opponent or intercept a pass. However, in the heat, some of the Woodley players tired in the second half although they did manage to score their first goal of the season, with a special mention going to Jonty, who capitalised on some confused Westwood defending, just after the restart, to score with a neat finish into the corner of the goal, which was met by a huge cheer from all the Woodley players.
Man of the Match – It was very close this week but Ashaz was awarded the honour for displaying good confidence on the ball, in the first half, with his turns, passing and dribbling and for pulling off a very good save, in the second half (during his stint in goal), which even brought praise from the opposition coach.
