U16 Hammers lose in EBYA League Cup to higher league opposition.

Hammers lose to Sandhurst Town in feisty game.

Hammers lost to Sandhurst Town in a feisty cup match but the 4-1 score was not a true reflection of a good performance from Hammers.
Sandhurst from Div 1, started strongly and took the lead 15 mins into the first half when their striker broke clear of the Hammers defence to finish. Hammers grew into the game and started to cause the Sandhurst defence problems on the break, going close on a couple of occasions through Jamie Dudman, Kacper Sek and Tomasso Morettin, but Sandhurst were also dangerous on the break going close to extending their lead once or twice. H/t 0-1. The 2nd half started like the end of the 1st half with Hammers playing well and that pressure resulted in an early penalty which Krystian Stasiak converted. Hammers grew in confidence but were caught when Sandhurst scored a second with a quality finish from the edge of the box. As Hammers pressed for an equaliser they were caught twice in the closing stages but can hold their heads up high after a good performance against a higher division team. MoM was Kacper Sek.
