Woodley Utd drop points for the first time this season
The U16's Hammers went into the game full of confidence after winning their first two games of the season but a lacklustre performance saw there lucky to escape with a point in the end. Hammers had the upper hand in the first half with Pablo Salter scoring from close range after Sam Hellestoe's shot at goal had been parried by the Whitegrove keeper. Leon Norris had to make a couple of smart saves to maintain the lead and Hammers squandered a couple of good chances just before half time to extend the lead. The second half was different with Whitegrove having the upper hand and their pressure eventually paid off with a deserved equaliser from close range with about 15 mins left. Pablo Salter did hit the post late on but it would have been unfair on Whitegrove if Hammers had nicked a win.
