Seven different players score in United goal rush.

United maintained their 100% league record as they made it three wins from three league outings to move second in the league table on goal difference to Maidenhead United who have also made a perfect start to the season.

With regular keeper Lisa Phillips missing due to an injury sustained in the last outing Tash Elcox was called up on to make a first appearance in goal and she did not disappoint although in truth such was the performance of the outfield players that Bracknell rarely threaten her goal.

Three goals in a five minute spell effectively ended the contest once Ranai Bird had run on to Jo Walsh Perks low cross to round the keeper after ten minutes. This was followed by Laura Woodley out sprinting the defence to fire in second and Walsh – Perks shotting low into the far post after fourteen minutes.

Although there were no more goals in the half United created good opportunism as they used the ball well and exploiting space, none more so than the impressive Rachel Panting and Bird on the right flank while Sab Kulan, Amy Holden and Kate Hardie kept the defence tight.

Any game plan Town had at half time to get back into the game was quickly destroyed when United kicked off; Woodley found Bird whose positive run at the home defence resulted in her scoring her second before the vast majority of players had had a touch of the ball in the second half.

This set the tone for the rest of the half as United attacked freely and scored on a regular basis with Jess Grimmett chipping the keeper from twenty yards on fifty minutes from a Walsh – Perks pass and Sarah Davern beating the keeper to the ball five minutes later for her first goal for the club.

Panting headed home from the edge of the penalty area following a corner for the seventh goal which was followed by Woodley second on sixty six minutes and Nicola Froud’s drive finding the back of the net with thirteen minutes remaining.

Town’s consolation was scored on the counter attack when Elcox did well to save the first shot but could not prevent Caroline Patterson from getting to the loose ball with seven minutes still to play.
