Despite the score line Woodley can take positives out of the game that could have seen them score more once in the first half that saw Rosie Page-Smith hit the cross bar and both Page-Smith and Becs Lowes head straight at the home keeper Shanell Salgao while Salgao tipped a May Hamblin shot over the bar in addition to Page-Smith's goal on thirty nine minutes.
Offensively United caused Wimbledon problems, a fact acknowledge by the host's assistant manager who commented that Woodley had caused them more problems in the first half than any team had this season.
However, defensively Woodley struggled with the home team's strength, pace on the counter attack, movement and accuracy of shots that left Nicole Haines powerless to stop them.
It may seem strange but well done to the team, learn from the experience and take into the rest of the season.
