The Ladies advance to the second round of the league cup with 4-2 win at Wycombe Wanderers.
1 goal a piece in the first minute of the game set the scene to a fast start of the game!
The game started with a goal just after 14 second by Hamblin, after a Wycombe kick off. Front three of Rosie, Mollie and May set a high press from the off which led to a mistake by Wycombe's back four, where Hamblin gained possession just outside the box and took a low strike to keepers right to put Woodley ahead. Although, not a club record for fast goal, which is set at 8 seconds, certainly one of the fastest this season.
Woodley still celebrating their early lead, and a lapse of concentration in the team, sees Emma Dean score from the left wing over goalkeeper Nicole, who couldn't do anything about it.
With tough conditions, in a boggy pitch with a slight slope, both teams were doing their best to play attractive football, alongside a combative set of plays with both teams putting strong but good challenges to regain possession. Woodley's threat came predominantly down the left flank with May H and Holly W on form and linking up great sets of play with the midfield three to deliver threat into the Wycombe box.
However, it wasn't until affter 26mins, and a foul on left back Holly W, sees captain, Ellen deliver a ball into back post, which consequently finds Rosie Paige-Smith with a one touch across goal finds Natasha M (Tatty) in the 6 yard to slot it past Wycombe Keeper.
The game progressed through to half time with both teams creating chances and putting both keepers to the test.

The game starter with a half time substitution for the Sky Blues, with the return of Maddie S replacing Ani R in the midfield. The game started at a high tempo with winger Mollie H finding her stride and on a number of occasions successfully going pass players to deliver crosses which unfortunately weren't met by fellow team mates.
Woodley continuously made a series of attempts at goal with both full backs, Dee E and Holly W hugely involved in the game. 11mins into the second half, sees Bek L through ball find Rosie who slots it to make it a 3-1 lead, after a great passing move from the midfielders.
3-1 down, Wycombe make a number of changes and start playing more direct football over Woodley's back 4, and on number of occasions with no joy due to great defending by both centre backs, Ellen & Fay, and some fine goalkeeping by Nicole H.
65mins minutes sees Ruth P return to the team after last weeks absence to replace May H, after a battling shift down the left flank. Ruth P takes left back position and allows Holly W to push further forward into May's position. 4mins after substitution sees another set piece delivery by Ellen S, into far post from the right hand side to find Rosie P-S to slot her second of the day, and make it 4-1 lead to the Kestrels, and Woodley's number 9 had a number of chances to make it a hat-trick but to no avail. Upon the lead, Woodley managers made a number of alternations in the game, Siobhan H On for Fay W after 70mins and Ani R back on for Dee E.
It wasn't until 10mins to go that Wycombe Ladies pulled one back via captain, Charlotte Bagshaw, with a ball over the top catching both back 4 and goal keeper off-guard and lobs the last player to beat.
The last 10mins of the game finds Wycombe trying to push Woodley back into a danger area, however it no success with a number of occasions finding Woodley's number 1 Nicole H. Final substitution came by the return of May H to replace Rosie.
The game came to an end at the playing fields with Woodley progressing through to the next round of the League Cup, where they will face Fleet Town away on the 22nd September.
