Woodley Utd Spitfires u12 got to the final of the FAB Academy tournament only to lose to a good Staines Town side. Spitfires were praised for their passing football and style of play through out the tournament, having won 2 and drawn 2 of their 4 group game.

Arguably, their best performance came against G4G when they drew 0-0 against the vastly bigger and stronger opponents after some fantastic defending but they won 3-2 on penalties to reach the final.

In the final, Staines Town (who had already drawn against Spitfires in the group) scored after 10 seconds and they never looked back to win 4-1 in the end.
