This was a scrappy game with Aldermaston having the slightly better of it but without creating any threat. As the half wore on, Spitfires improved their game but but other than a fierce shot from Dylan straight at the Aldermaston keeper, there was little threat. It was Aldermaston who created a couple of chances right at the end of the half, beating the Spitfires defence with a long ball over the top. Each shot was over the bar though.
The second half followed a similar pattern to the first but this time Aldermaston did score on 63 minutes and it had been coming after Leon had made a couple of point blank saves. That goal spurred Spitfires into a spirited performance, moving to 3 at the back. Samien scored on 71 minutes and Joe on 85, both latching onto the through balls down the middle and placing the shot past the Aldermaston keeper.
Both full / wing backs had excellent games and Dan C was awarded man of the match.
