This game was a tale of 2 halves. In the first, Wanderers looked 3 years older rather than 1, such was their superior strength. Wanderers scored in the 2nd minute with their goalscorer given too much time and space. Their 2nd goal on 30 minutes was an easy free header at the back post from a good corner. Then the 3rd and 4th coming in the 32nd and 38th minutes came with last defender being out muscled by the Wanderers striker.
The 2nd half was much better from the Spitfires who if anything had the best of the possession and chances. They just couldn’t finish off any of the chances they had and Wanderers scored a late goal on the break.
The Spitfires player of the match was Leon who made some excellent saves to keep the score down to 5.
