Woodley United Spitfires started the game the better but the final ball was never quite good enough to create a goal scoring opportunity. After the half hour mark, Berks County grew into the game and scored a good goal to break the deadlock on 41 minutes. That gave the Snakes confidence and whilst the Spitfires continued to have good possession, it was never enough in the final third. Snakes doubled their lead on 65 minutes. The Spitfires played with more energy when 2-0 down and did start creating chances but it just wasn't our day with most going just wide or into the keeper's hands.
So a bad day at the office and we move on.
Dan Chapman was the standout player for Spitfires, so deserved the man of the match accolade.
