Weekend Preview

By Chris Burnett

Games to be played 13-16 April

Just the two games this week as the 18-19 season winds down.

The first team play their last match of the campaign when they go to Holyport on Tuesday evening. This is a rearranged fixture after the initial game was abandoned at half time due to a waterlogged pitch ten days before Christmas. Holyport have a formidable home record having only lost once this season in the league. They are also in good form; winning five out of their last six. The only points dropped were against Woodley at the end of the last month. United on the other hand, have struggled since January, the point against Holyport the only positive result in the last seven.

After a difficult league season the Royals have a Reading Invitation Junior Cup semi fianl to look forward to on Saturday. They host Eldon Celtic who are second bottom in the league below United. An injury time penalty saw Woodley progress in the last round.
