Games to be played 23-24

An injury time goal saw the first team denied a place in the last four of the Bluefin Sports (UHL) Supplementary Cup at the weekend. On chances created United should have gone through in a game played in difficult conditions with strong winds. This Saturday sees a home match against a Thame Rangers side chasing promotion. The scores finished level when the teams met at the end of January.

The Royals picked up an excellent three points last week when they beat mid table Berks County. This was their second win in a row and will look to take that form into their away fixture at fourth bottom Richings Park who have lost their last three.

Henley Town’s win against the ‘A’ side a fortnight ago was followed up with three points at Maidenhead last Saturday. These results have seen them replace Woodley at the top of Thames Valley League Division Three. United end their season with another big game; going to fourth placed Taplow United ‘A’ who are six points off Woodley but with three games in hand.

Sunday Teams

After a 4-2 home loss to third placed Berks County Sun, the reserves now face the same side away. After that is two home matches to finish the season, including a potential relegation decider against Winkfield although with two teams folding over the course of the season it remains to be seen how many teams will go down.
