Games to be played 2-3 March

A 3-1 loss at Wokingham & Emmbrook last Saturday saw the first team slip to their third defeat in four games. The loss means the sides have picked up two wins a piece in the four games they have faced each other. This week sees Woodley host Chalvey Sports; a United win will see them do the double over Chalvey having beaten them at the end of October.

The Royals are also at home, taking on Newbury in the Reading Invitation Junior Cup. Newbury play in the league below Woodley but are romping to the title having won eleven out of eleven.

The ‘A’ team have had a quiet run of fixtures, only playing once in the last month. They finish a fantastic season with three away games, the first of which sees them face seventh placed Pangbourne. Three points will see United on the brink of winning the league.

Sunday Teams

With SC United withdrawing from the league, Woodley have seen their sole point wiped from the records. They are nine points adrift at the foot of the table but have four games in hand on second bottom. This week they have a home match against fifth placed Coley Park.

After back to back defeats the reserves will look to get back to winning ways at second bottom Crowthorne Football Club Old Boys. United won the home fixture 4-1 in October.
