Games to be played 16-17 February

Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Wallingford saw the first team fail to score for the first time since September. That loss was followed up by a defeat to Step Four Fleet Town on Tuesday evening. After a tough start Woodley matched their opponents with an excellent second half showing. The following seven days sees a home game against bottom of the table Chinnor. United won the away fixture back in November.

The Royals have a local derby at Wokingham & Emmbrook Reserves. Wokingham are probably the team that Woodley have the best chance of catching at the foot of the table. Three points will see United get within six points with a game in hand. Woodley lost their last game 1-0 to leaders Cookham Dean.

The ‘A’ side haven’t played since the 26th of January. With second and third playing each other last week United had their lead at the top cut to four points. Woodley host Hambleden this week; a team they beat 4-2 a month ago.

Sunday Teams

The reserves face the side directly above them. A home win in their fixture against Bracknell Athletic will see United up one place, potentially two. The away match finished 1-1 last year.

The Sunday first team do not have a game this week.
