Games to be played 26-29 January

The first team’s run of difficult fixtures continues on Saturday when they visit Thame United in what will be a first meeting between the sides this season. Thame are currently third with games in hand on the teams above them including runaway leaders Burnham who beat Woodley last week. United are then away at Milton United on Tuesday evening in the Bluefin Sports (UHL) Supplementary Cup. Woodley came from two goals down to pick up a point at Milton in their last game of 2018.

With the Royals going down to a 3-0 defeat against Westwood United and Wrightchoice & Unity CSA picking up three points in their match, the Royals find themselves seven points adrift at the foot of the Thames Valley Premier League. This weekend sees them host high flying Woodcote Stoke Row.

The ‘A’ sides game at Pangbourne was called off last Saturday. This weekend they host third placed Berks County Reserves who up until a recent points deduction topped the table. United are on a fantastic run, unbeaten in seven league match, winning six to open up a seven point lead at the top. Woodley won the reverse fixture when the teams met in the middle of December.

Sunday Teams

The first team suffered their heaviest defeat of the season last week; conceding ten to third placed Henley Town. They visit fourth placed Loxwood Park Rangers on Sunday. Loxwood won 3-2 in a close game against United just before Christmas.

The reserves rebounded from their defeat to basement side Panthers F.C. Reserves with an excellent three points against third placed Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW. This week they host Winkfield who they thumped 9-0 three weeks ago.
