Games to be played 24-25 November

The First Team host Pewsey Vale on Saturday in the Bluefin Sports (UHL) Supplementary Cup. This will be the first ever meeting between the sides. Vale sit fifth in Hellenic Division One West and have won four out of their last five. Woodley’s own good run came to an end on Monday evening; they lost to Holyport which makes progress from the group stage of the Subsidary Cup unlikely. Two days earlier United made it ten points from their last twelve when they beat Wokingham & Emmbrook courtesy of Teddy Thomas’ injury time winner.

Congratulations go to the Royals who picked up their first points since Jamie Williams took over as manager. Coming from behind on two occasions the side picked up a point at Burghfield. This week sees another away match, this time at Newbury in the Berkshire Trophy Centre Senior Cup. Newbury play in the league below Woodley and currently top the table winning six out of six.

The ‘A’ team go to third bottom Cintra Park. The home game was abandoned when the sides met last month. Since that match, United have picked up seven points from four games and are three places and five points better off than their opponents.

Sunday Teams

The Sunday Reserves have lost consecutive matches by a two goal margin and are currently mid table in the twelve team division. After back to back promotions this is a great place to be at this stage of the season. This week sees them on the road taking on Bracknell Athletic who are ninth.

The Sunday First Team do not have a game.
