Weekend Preview

By Chris Burnett

Games to be played 13-16 October

After nearly two weeks without a game the first team return to action with a cup double header. On Saturday they host Cirencester Town Development in the Bluefin Sports (UHL) Challenge Cup before an away match at Thatcham Town Development in the Perpetua Press Floodlit Cup.

The Royals are also in cup action. They visit Berks County Reserves who play three divisions below Woodley. Both the first team and Royals have struggled in the league so will hope for positive results against sides playing in lower leagues.

The ‘A’ team suffered a big defeat last weekend to start the season with a win and a loss. Their next match is a home encounter against Cintra Park Rovers who are a position and point better off than United albeit having played a game more.

Sunday Teams

A 6-2 defeat last weekend saw Woodley still looking for their first points of the season after four matches. This Sunday sees a home game with SC United who have three points so far.

The Sunday Reserves don’t play.
