Games to be played 5-9 May

Woodley United Royals were on opposite ends of 3-0 scorelines over the last seven days. On Saturday they exited the Reading Challenge Junior Cup to South Reading before securing a crucial three points in the league against Highmoor Ibis United. The win sees Woodley pull three points clear of the bottom two. This week sees home games against mid table Cookham Dean on Saturday and Reading YMCA on Wednesday. Reading are almost guaranteed to win the league having won nineteen of their twenty games.

The 'A' side completed their league season last week in comprehensive fashion thrashing Highmoor Ibis Athletic 13-1. They are away to Henley Town Reserves in the Reading Challenge Jubilee Cup on Saturday.

The 'B' team host White Eagles Reserves in the Reading Challenge Diamond Cup on Monday. The sides shared six goals in the league yesterday.

Sunday Teams

Due to Burghfield failing to complete their last two fixtures the two sides below United were awarded walkover wins meaning Woodley now find themselves in the bottom two. A win in their final game of the season is now vital. They go to Mortimer; three points for United will see them move up three places and go above their opponnets.

Congratulations to the Reserve side who have won back to back titles. Last Sunday's point at second placed Warfield along with Athletico Ascot losing meant that promotion was secured last weekend. The title was wrapped up without Woodley kicking a ball on Tuesday when Warfield failed to win their home encounter with Berks County. A fantastic season that has seen them go unbeaten in their last fourteen league matches ends with a trip to third bottom 3M FC.
