Games to be played 21-26 April

The first team played twice over the last seven days. On Tuesday they welcomed Chesham United from the Southern League Premier Division to Rivermoor. Despite playing two divisions below their opponents Woodley acquitted themselves very well exiting the Berks & Berks Cup due to a goal in either half. Two days later saw them complete their away fixtures in the league when they went to Gloucester to face Longlevens. In the first ever meeting between the sides United picked up a tremendous 4-1 victory, the clubs biggest ever win at this level.

This week sees home fixtures on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday. The first game is against Ascot a side Woodley beat 3-1 in James Anderson's first game in charge at the end of September. On Tuesday evening Bracknell are our opponents. One of the best sides in the league Bracknell romped to a 6-0 win in the away fixture and will seal promotion with a win at Windsor on Friday evening. Two days later is the penultimate league game of the season when we play thirteenth placed Royal Wootton Bassett.

The Royals have two very difficult games in three days. On Saturday they go to Woodcote Stoke Row who are pretty much guaranteed to finish runners up. Then on Monday they host Marlow United who will probably finish third. Woodley are third bottom at the moment but will take some credit from their narrow loss to fourth placed Wright & Unity Sports in their last game.

The 'A' team complete their league campaign on Wednesday when they visit Highmoor Ibis Athletic. United will look to end the season on a high after losing their last three games and will be confident as their opponents have lost all but one of their league games.

The 'B' side have had the best 17/18 season out of our Saturday sides. They are currently sixth in the eleven team division but fourth is not out of the question. They host second placed Taplow United 'A' on Saturday.

Sunday Teams

The Reserves took a huge stop towards a second consecutive promotion when they beat a Warfield United side who up until that point had not lost a league game. It is still ridiculously tight at the top though with three points separating Woodley in first and their opponents on Tuesday AFC Crowthorne Reserves in fourth. Two days later they face bottom placed Bracknell Saint-Germain; both of these games are away.

The Sunday first team complete their season on the sixth of May.
