Games to be played 17-19 February

Both the first team's fixtures fell foul of the weather last week. With no game over the weekend they play only once over the next seven days travelling to a Thatcham side who have won an incredible twenty matches in a row and are just two games away from Wembley in the FA Vase. The match is a BBFA Senior Cup quarter final.

A brace by Olabiyi Oshunlaja helped the Royals break their bad run of results that stretched back to the start of October with a 4-1 win at Mortimer Reserves in the Reading Challenge Junior Cup. This Saturday sees them visit basement side Taplow United in the league; five points currently separate the two teams.

The 'A' side's last game was three weeks ago; that was a narrow defeat to Henley Town Reserves. This week sees them host Hurst 'A', a team they drew with in early January. Hurst are currently third and have twice as many points as Woodley however United have three games in hand.

Defeat to runaway leaders Twyford & Ruscombe saw the 'A' team suffer their fourth consecutive defeat. This weekend sees a home encounter against AFC Corinthians; avoid defeat and United will get their first points of 2018.

Sunday Teams

The first team go to an AFC Burghfield side that currently prop up the Reading & District Sunday League Premier Division. This is the first time the two sides have met this season. Woodley are one of three teams on thirteen points whilst Burghfield are one of three on seven points. Although the standings are not necessarily a fair representation as some teams have played nine more games than others.

The Reserves winning run goes back to the middle of November. This weeks sees a home game against 3M FC. With second placed Warfield also at home to bottom of the league three points are vital for Woodley to maintain top spot.
