Games to be played 10-13 February

After several postponements the first team were able to play their first game in over two weeks on Monday evening taking on high flying Wantage Town. Despite a spirited second half performance Woodley lost 3-2 however positives will definitely have been taken and it was a much more even contest than when the sides last met. This week sees two games over the course of four days. On Saturday they host a Tuffley Rovers side who have beaten United twice this season then on Tuesday it's a Berks & Berks Senior Cup match at Thatcham Town.

Also playing in a cup competition are the Royals; they go to Mortimer Reserves in the Reading Challenge Junior Cup. This fixture has been postponed before but as they are facing a side two divisions below them Woodley could do with a positive result if the weather holds up.

With just two points separating them in the league the 'A' side's Reading Challenge Jubilee Cup game against Taplow United Reserves could be close. Although that wasn't the case when they met in November with United running out 5-1 winners. Like then Woodley host.

The 'B' team are on their worst run of the season losing their last three; two of which have been cup games. This Saturday sees a home encounter with leaders Twyford & Ruscombe who have won ten out of ten.

Sunday Teams

The Reserves match was abandoned due to an unplayable pitch at the weekend. This Sunday sees a trip to mid table Ashridge Park Royals. United are currently top but only three points separate the top four whilst fifth placed AFC Crowthorne Reserves who have only lost once and were promoted with Woodley last season have several games in hand on the teams above them.

The Sunday first team are without a game.
