Games To Be Played 25-27 November

After two narrow defeats over the last week the first team have a crucial match against third bottom Fairford Town on Saturday. As it stands Woodley have a six point cushion on Fairford but Town have three games in hand. United won the away fixture last month, their last league win. This is followed up by a Monday evening game as Woodley host Windsor in the Perpetua Press Floodlit Cup. United have had a good run in cup competitions over the last six weeks winning three out of three.

A narrow defeat last Saturday saw the Royals slip to a fourth consecutive league defeat. This weekend sees a tricky trip to Marlow United who have won seven out of nine.

The 'A' side picked up their biggest win since the opening day of the season when they thumped Taplow 5-1 last week. They will look to build on that performance in their home encounter against a Highmoor Ibis Athletic side who have lost seven out of seven.

After playing the team directly below them last week, a 1-1 draw with White Eagles Reserves, the 'B' team now face the team directly above them. Woodley go to Twyford & Ruscombe who have a 100% record. United are also in good form, having only lost one of their seven games.

Sunday Teams

Woodley face 116 Exiles for the second consecutive week on Sunday. United won the home encounter last time and if results go their way and they win by a big margin this week they could be up to third.

The Reserves massive 10-2 win last week, in which Luke Blakebrough scored a remarkable seven goals saw them up to second. They have a home game against fourth placed Berks County; a side that they have beaten twice already this season.
