Games to be played 18-22 November

This week sees the first team play two league games. On Saturday they host Brimscombe & Thrupp then on Wednesday they go to Brackley Town Saints who they beat in the middle of last month. The Brimscombe game will be the first time the two sides have met this season. Over the last week a home point against Lydney last Saturday was followed up by an extra time win over Virginia Water on Tuesday evening in the Reading Invitation Senior Cup. Danny Horscroft was on target in both matches whilst Owen Davies got his first for the club in the cup match.

Both the Royals and 'B' team had their matches called off last week. As mentioned in my preview last week the Royals are hoping to end a run of three defeats; they play Berks County, who they were due to play last week. This is a Berkshire Trophy Centre Senior Cup with United hosting.

After losing to the team directly below them in their last game the 'A' side will hope history does not repeat itself when they play Taplow United Reserves. This is third bottom hosting second bottom.

The 'B' team are also at home; facing White Eagles Reserves. After losing their first league game of the season a fortnight ago Woodley will hop to keep pace with the two sides currently above them and pull away from White Eagles who are only behind United on goal difference.

Sunday Teams

Having picked up just one point from the last nine Woodley will hope to get their third win of the season in their home encounter with basement side 116 Exiles. Defeat will see Exiles go above United.

The Reserves play a team from Bracknell for the third consecutive week. A double header against Bracknell Saint-Germain which saw Woodley lose in the BTDSFL Cup but win in the league is followed up by a league trip to Bracknell Athletic. United currently sit third whilst their opponents are eighth in the eleven team division.
