Games to be played 4-6 November

The first team came away empty handed from their Saturday trip to Tuffley, the hosts scoring the only goal of the game in the sixteenth minute. On Monday night they made the journey to Step 4 Beaconsfield Town for a County Cup match. This was the first time Woodley had played a team from that level and for a second consecutive Monday they advanced on penalties. United dominated the first half and deservedly led at the interval. Pinned back in the second the scores ended level so it was up to Alex Reed to send Woodley through after saving Beaconsfield's third and fourth penalties. In the quarter finals United go to Thatcham.

This week sees two more games, both league fixtures. On Saturday they go to Windsor; this is ninth hosting fourteenth and the first meeting between the sides this season. Then on Monday United have a home match against Burnham. The sides drew 1-1 at the start of September.

After a good run of form which saw three wins and a draw in five games the Royals have won one of their last four; this included a narrow loss last weekend to third placed Wright & Unity Sports. This Saturday sees a home game against Wraysbury Village; a Woodley win will see them go within a point of their opponents.

The 'A' team went down to leaders Goring Town last week. Their next game is at Maidenhead Town Reserves who have won three out of four.

The 'B' side are now just one point off the top with three games in hand on the leaders. A 3-0 win at basement side Harchester Hawks Development means they have one four out of five. This weekend sees them visit draw specialists AFC Corinthians 'A'

Sunday Teams

The first team exited the Tilehurst Charity Cup to a side from the league above in their last match. They return to league action on Sunday going to Le Galaxy. This is sixth hosting eighth.

The Reserves have a home BTDSFL Junior Cup game against Bracknell Saint-Germain. Both teams are in the same division but have had contrasting starts to the season. United are third whilst Bracknell are tenth in the eleven team league and are yet to register a win drawing three of their six games.
