Games to be played 21-23 October

The first team picked up three points from their two league matches over the last week. On Saturday they were unlucky to come away from Lydney empty handed with the home side naming their goal keeper man of the match. This was followed up with a home win on Monday evening against Brackley Town Saints. Recovering from going behind early, goals from Greg Beckett and Danny Horscroft saw Woodley turn around a deficit and go onto win for the first time at this level.

This week sees the same pattern of games as the following two weeks. An away match on the Friday/Saturday followed up by a home game on Monday. United play Fairford first; a huge game as a win would see a nine point cushion over the team currently second bottom. 48 hours later Woodley play host to Abingdon United in the BSCC. Abingdon won 3-0 when the sides met in August but are only ahead in the league on goal difference.

The 'A' side had a great result last weekend beating a side from the league above on penalties after the game finished 2-2. They have another cup game on Saturday hosting Maidenhead Town Reserves in the BBFA Junior Cup.

It's early days but the 'B'team are one of only two teams currently unbeaten in their division.
They go to Farnham Royal Mavericks who have lost three out of four.

Sunday Teams

Both sides were on the end of contrasting 5-2 scorelines last Sunday. The first team picked up a fine win against Mortimer; their second league win of the season. This weekend sees them host leaders Eldon Celtic.

The Reserves will look to rebound from last week's defeat to AFC Crowthorne Reserves; the team they beat to the title last season. They have a home fixture against second bottom Braybrooke Athletic
