Games to be played 14-16 October

An injury time equaliser from Michael Porter, his first for the club, meant the first team picked up a vital point at home to high flying Thatcham Town on Monday evening. The previous Friday saw Woodley lose out in extra time at Binfied; a harsh result as United played some great stuff in the initial ninety minutes.

On Saturday they make the long trip to Lydney. Amazingly there is just two point separating Woodley in eighteenth and Windsor in eleventh. Lydney are one of the teams between United and Windsor; they have eleven points, one more than Woodley. On Monday United host mid table Brackley Town Saints.

The Royals racked up their third consecutive league win last week with a 5-2 win at Wokingham. This was the second time this season that Woodley have beaten their local rivals. This weekend they have a home game against a Mortimer side they beat at the end of September.

The 'A' side have a Berkshire Trophy Centre Intermediate Cup game at Hurst Reserves. Hurst play in the league above but are struggling this season picking up one point from four games. United have had a solid start winning two out of four.

Sunday Teams

After a cup defeat last Sunday Woodley return to league action when they host Mortimer. Both sides have three points; United have played four times whilst their opponents have only played twice.

The Reserves have made a positive start to the season after promotion, picking up seven points from a possible twelve. With most of the league in cup action three points in their home encounter with AFC Crowthorne Reserves will see Woodley up to second.

The 'B' team do not have a match.
